Brad Blackburn, CFP ®
I am very fortunate to do the work that I do. First off, I’m the type of oddball that is fascinated by economics and the markets. Even more importantly, I truly enjoy my time spent with my clients. Working through each client’s unique situation is interesting and rewarding. There aren’t many things that are more important to my clients than their money and future. As such, I’m honored every time a family trusts me for such an important role.
My industry experience goes back to the year 2000. Looking back over the history of the stock market, I’m not sure there could be a better time period from which to gain experience. Between the dot-com bubble, the market’s reaction to 9/11, a real-estate bubble, a financial crisis, two wars, two recessions and two strong market recoveries, not much will surprise me.
In addition to being knowledgeable about each client’s situation, I work hard to be knowledgeable on current events in the markets and the economy. Writing, in addition to being a creative outlet, helps me to do that. I find that it’s not possible to write intelligently about anything without first developing a deep understanding of it. I’m proud to produce Financial Wanderings, my monthly newsletter as well as regular columns in the Wenatchee Business Journal, The Cashmere Record and the Leavenworth Echo.
I’m blessed to have a wonderful wife and son that are the center of everything I do. I’m also blessed to live in an area of amazing natural beauty. Most of my free time is spent exploring the beautiful mountains of North Central Washington.
